Check If Your Phone Supports eSIM
Most newer smartphones support eSIM. Use this eSIM device compatibility guide to see whether your phone is on the eSIM compatible devices list and how to check if your device is eSIM compatible.
How to check on iPhone
Go to Settings -> Cellular (or Mobile Data). If you see Add Cellular Plan or Add eSIM, your iPhone supports eSIM.
iPhones that support eSIM typically have dual SIM capability, so you can keep your existing plan and add a travel eSIM for data.

How to check on Android
Go to Settings -> Network & Internet -> SIMs. If you see Add Carrier or Add eSIM, your Android device supports eSIM.
Your device must also be network unlocked. Carrier locks can block eSIM activation.
