Welcome to Voyaio

Travel should be stress-free. That is why we built voyaio: straightforward international travel eSIM plans with simple setup and clear pricing.

This is the place to start if you are new to travel eSIMs or planning your first trip with one. Voyaio is an online travel eSIM business owned and operated by Veltio Inc., built for Canadians who want to get connected before they leave home.

What is a travel eSIM?

An eSIM is a digital SIM built into your phone. Instead of waiting for a physical SIM card or visiting a store after you land, you can purchase a plan online and install it on a compatible, unlocked device. Your travel eSIM then provides mobile data in the destinations covered by the plan.

Most Voyaio plans are data plans. That means you can use services such as WhatsApp, iMessage, FaceTime, email, maps, rideshare apps, and social media over the eSIM data connection. Whether calls and text messages use your travel plan or your Canadian line depends on the service and your phone settings, so check the plan details and your carrier settings before departure.

Why use a travel eSIM?

With a travel eSIM, you can get data without:

• Visiting a local store
• Swapping physical SIM cards
• Waiting until you arrive to find connectivity

You can also keep your regular SIM available for calls or verification messages while selecting the travel eSIM for mobile data. The exact options vary by phone, carrier, and destination. Our guide to keeping your Canadian phone number while using an eSIM explains the common setup choices.

How Voyaio works

1. Check your phone - Confirm that your phone supports eSIM and is unlocked. Our phone compatibility guide covers the main checks before you buy.

2. Choose your destination - Browse Voyaio destinations, including country and regional plans for trips across multiple countries.

3. Pick a plan - Compare data and validity options against the length and style of your trip. A short city break, a multi-country itinerary, and a work trip may each need a different amount of data.

4. Pay in your selected currency - Review the total before you purchase.

5. Receive your eSIM details - Your QR code is sent by email after purchase.

6. Install before you go - Follow the travel eSIM installation guide while you still have a reliable internet connection. Activate or select the travel line when you arrive, according to the instructions for your plan and device.

A few things to check before departure

To avoid a stressful setup at the airport, confirm these basics before your trip:

• Your phone is eSIM-compatible and carrier-unlocked.
• Your destination appears in the plan's current coverage list.
• You have access to the email account used for your purchase.
• You know which line your phone will use for mobile data.
• Data roaming is disabled on your Canadian line if your goal is to avoid Canadian roaming charges.

Our roaming charges guide for Canadians walks through the phone settings and travel habits that can help prevent accidental usage. It is also worth downloading offline maps and key travel information before leaving.

Built for Canadian travellers

Voyaio is built around the practical details Canadian travellers deal with: pricing in your selected currency, keeping a Canadian number available when needed, and setting up data before landing in another country. We aim to make plan choices easy to understand so you can compare coverage, data, validity, and setup requirements before you fly.

We also try to be clear about important exceptions. For example, our APAC plan is listed as ex-China, while mainland China has its own eSIM plan because connectivity conditions can differ. Always review the destination page and current plan terms for the trip you are planning.
