How much data should I plan for a route through Yerevan and Dilijan?

For a route through Yerevan, Dilijan and Lake Sevan, account for map use and whether you can download route details over Wi-Fi first. Estimate from your own use of maps, messaging, social uploads and Wi-Fi; video, hotspot use and photo backup can increase demand. The ranges on this page are seven-day examples, not a prediction for your trip.

Ideas for your trip

Armenia trip planning

Explore Yerevan before day trips

Keep time for the capital's central squares, museums and food scene instead of compressing them into arrival and departure days.

Pair Sevan with a regional stay

Lake Sevan is a large high-altitude lake; plan the shoreline visit around your chosen base and the day's route.

Slow down in Dilijan

Forest and walking routes give Dilijan a different feel from Yerevan. Save trailheads and lodging details before setting out.

Plan your Armenia itinerary

For a trip limited to Armenia, compare the destination plan's data, validity and price with any regional option. For a multi-country route, choose a plan only if its current included-country list covers every stop.

01
Start from Yerevan
Use your first stop in Yerevan to organize lodging, onward transport and maps for the rest of the route.
Check that the selected offer includes the destination country or territory. Save the route toward Dilijan; network service can vary with terrain and location.
02
Plan the route to Dilijan
A visit to Dilijan is a separate leg from Yerevan; check the distance, transport and time needed for the route.
Save the route map, lodging address and confirmed transfer details before departure. Check that the selected offer includes the destination country or territory; local service varies.
03
A separate stop in Lake Sevan
If Lake Sevan is part of the same trip, allow for the transfer and check whether your bookings depend on a live connection.
Keep essential confirmations offline. Check destination country or territory inclusion and treat service at the exact stop as variable.

Armenia data planning

How much data might your Armenia trip use?

The examples below describe different trip patterns and the assumptions behind each estimate. Your actual use depends on your apps, settings, trip length and access to Wi-Fi.

Seven-day light-use calculator example

3.6–5.5 GB

Assumes: Seven days of messaging, email, browsing and occasional maps, with streaming and video calls off, light social use and few photo uploads. Wi-Fi availability is not included in this activity estimate and may reduce mobile data used.

Seven-day typical-use calculator example

10.1–15.1 GB

Assumes: Seven days with light streaming and video calls, daily maps, moderate social use and photo uploads. Wi-Fi access is not modelled and may reduce mobile data used; hotspot, higher-resolution video and app updates can raise demand.

These are rough planning examples, not plan allowances or promises. Actual data use varies with apps, settings, trip length and Wi-Fi. Compare estimates with the live plan options above.
